Smokey Eye Makeup using Minerals

It is easy to get classic, smokey eye makeup using mineral and natural makeup products.

You will need

Silver mineral or organic eyeshadow; Grey mineral or organic eyeshadow; Charcoal/black mineral or organic eyeshadow

Black smudgey eyeliner (natural or organic) and Black mascara (natural or organic)

Step by Step

Draw rough lines of eyeliner across your eyelids, starting at the base. Use a smudger or a blending brush to blend the colour. This will form a smokey base for your eyeshadows and help their staying power. It doesn't matter how messy it looks so long as the colour is consistent and just on the eyelids.

Apply the silver minerals all over the eyelids and up to the brow bone. This will be the highlight.

Apply the grey minerals just to the eyelid.

Apply the charcoal/black minerals to the outer corner of your eyelids, along the crease line (to about half way) and blend. Take a little at a time as over application will require more blending.

Once the colours are blended together you can add extra highlight with the silver minerals to the centre of the eyelids. Use a small eyeshadow brush to add a vertical line.

Add a natural eyeliner to your lower lash line. Start from the centre working your way out and flicking up. Smudge to create a softer, smokier look. You can also add a little of the silver minerals to the inner corner of the eyes for even more highlight.

Finish the look with your choice of natural mascara.

Top Tip

Try different colours such as blue or brown to create a smokey look. You will need 3 shades of colour – light, medium and dark.
