Bite Beauty Red Lipsticks

Red lipstick can be one of the hardest to choose as there are so many shades available! It is often a matter of preference or what's fashionable, but it also pays to think about what compliments your skin tone. Cool toned (blue-based) reds are great for cooler skin tones and warm toned (orange based) reds look lovely on warmer skin tones. If you have a neutral skin tone, you are lucky as either looks great on you! If you are not sure what your skin tone is, think about whether warm or cool coloured clothes complement your skin tone/suit you best and then you’ll have your answer.

Bite Beauty know that lips get licked and lipstick gets ingested so have formulated food-grade beauties that are healthy. Containing a high concentration of red wine resveratrol they are also bursting with anti-ageing antioxidants to protect and care for your pout. They have a beautiful range of reds and we stock the 3 most popular: Zinfandel, Poppy, Pomegranate. I decided to take some swatches and selfies (how indulgent!) to help you see the colour differences.

Zinfandel is a coral red with an orange undertone and is light and bright. It warms up your complexion and is great if you want to make a statement with your lippie or accessorise your look with some colour! I also love this one for Summer time.

Poppy is in between Zinfandel and Pomegranate, as it is more neutral in tone. It is a true red and suits most skin tones to complement an outfit beautifully. This shade is good for every day.

Pomegranate is a cooler-toned, deeper red that is bold and beautiful. I love this one for special occasions and to glam up my look on evenings out. It is also lovely for Winter time.

The High Pigment Pencils are also so easy to apply due to their crayon-like edge which allows you to get a great shape without a lipliner. They are also a long wearing, matte formula which is great for those on the go.  So there you have the lowdown on Bite’s most beautiful reds!
